Waffles | Rating: 4/5 | Difficulty: Hard
These tasty waffles can be anywhere from dark and crispy or light and fluffy. You can freeze these or eat them on the spot with a drizzle of maple syrup. Yum yum!
Makes: 8. Prep Time: 10 - 15 mins. Cook Time: 20 mins.
Ingredients:
1 3/4 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp castor sugar
3 eggs, separated (to separate eggs, check out our post on separating eggs)
7 tbsp vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups milk
Method:
1. Sift dry ingredients into bowl, add yolks, milk and oil and beat until there are no lumps.
2. Beat egg whites to stiff peaks, then fold into mixture.
3. Put 1/2 cup of mixture onto preheated waffle iron to make a 9" round waffle.
