Homemade Nachos

Nachos | Rating: 4/5 | Difficulty: Easy Nachos made from scratch on the stove, perfect for movies and get-togethers! You're welcome in advance! Makes: 12 serves. Prep Time: 12 mins. Cook Time: 12 mins.  Ingredients 30g butter 2 large onions, finely chopped 2 cloves garlic, crushed 1/2 tsp chilli powder 1 tsp paprika 1/2 tsp cumin 400g can chopped tomatoes 465g can kidney beans, rinsed 2 tbsp tomato paste 1 tsp brown sugar Corn chips Grated cheese Guacamole, sour cream Directions 1: Melt butter, add onions, garlic, chilli, paprika and cumin. 2: Cook 2-3 minutes. Drain tomatoes, reserving 1/4 cup of juice. 3: Add tomatoes, juice, beans, tomato paste and brown sugar. 4: Continue cooking until thick - about 5 minutes. 5: Arrange corn chips on plate, sprinkle with half cheese, add sauce, cover with remaining cheese and bake in moderate oven (180) for 15 mins to melt cheese or arrange in bowl and microwave it for 1 minute un

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chocolate Chip Cookies | Rating: 5/5 | Difficulty: Easy Delicious and chewy cookies with chocolate inside.Great for school, work, or maybe just a snack! Makes: 24. Prep Time: 10 mins. Cook Time:  10 mins.  Ingredients: 1 tsp vanilla 200g butter 3/4 cup brown sugar 2 1/4 cups flour 1 tsp bicarb soda)sift a pinch of salt 1/2 cup caster sugar 2 eggs 150g choc bits 1 cup chopped nuts    Method: 1. Cream, butter, both sugars and vanilla. Beat until creamy. 2. Add eggs and dry ingredients 3. Fold in choc bits and nuts. 4. Put tsp of mixture onto greased trays. 5.bake for 10-12 mins in 190°C oven.

Jam Drops

Jam Drops | Rating: 4/5 | Difficulty: Easy These biscuits are really easy to make, and you can use any plain biscuit base.   Makes: 25. Prep Time: 30 mins. Cook Time: 20 mins.   Ingredients: 130g butter (softened) 1/2 cup castor sugar 1/4 tsp vanilla extract 1 large egg 2 tbsp cornflour 3 tbsp SR flour (or 3 tbsp plain flour & 1/2 tsp baking powder) 1 cup plain flour Jam  Method:  1. Beat butter and sugar until pale and creamy. 2. Add egg to butter and mix in. 3. Add flours and mix until combined. 4. Refrigerate for 20 minutes, until dough is firm. 5. Roll mixture into 25 balls, then make an indent with your thumb. 6. Fill hole with about 1/2 tsp of jam. then bake for 20 minutes or un til pale gold in a 170 °C oven. Note: DO NOT eat while hot as jam will burn.
